Artist & Work
Ayadamola Tanimowo Okunseinde and Salome Asega have created the Iyapo Repository, named after Lilith Iyapo, a black woman and the last remaining semblance of the human race in Octavia Butler’s science-fiction series, Lilith’s Brood.
Asega’s practice is engaged with the question of border citizenship. Her works celebrate multi-vocality and welcome dissensus. Salome is also half of Candyfloss, a duo of creative technologists partnering with musicians to make odd things. She completed her Masters from Parsons School of Design (New York).
